The Brazilian winger went on to mark his debut with a goal as he found the back of the net in the 35th minute by steering a precise first-time shot into the far corner after he was set up by Marcus Rashford.
Bukayo Saka went on to equalize for the north Londoners on the hour-mark after he was set up by Martin Odegaard, only for Rashford to restore United's lead six minutes later. The English forward made it 3-1 for the hosts in the 75th minute after a beautiful build-up involving Diogo Dalot and Christian Eriksen.
Arsenal's efforts to get back into the match proved futile, with United holding firm to their lead to claim maximum points.
Despite the defeat, Arsenal remains top of the s
tandings with 15 points, a point ahead of second-placed Man City.
